Welcome to Verandah Pet Care, a family-owned business offering reliable in-home care to the dogs and cats of the Verandah Community since 2021. Owned and operated by Verandah resident Kathleen (Kathie) Clohessy, we are one of the only pet sitting services in the area to provide around-the-clock care for your beloved fur babies in your own home. No more packing up your dog’s or cat’s food, medicine and favorite toys for a trip to a boarding facility when you’re leaving town. We come to you and stay with your pet while you’re gone. They enjoy familiar surroundings and their regular routine, and you can relax knowing they are in loving, competent hands. Our in-home option is especially beneficial for senior dogs, who often become confused or overwhelmed by the stress of boarding. It’s a great choice for puppies too!!

While we specialize in overnight pet sitting, Verandah Pet Care is also available for regular or occasional dog-walking and drop-in visits for pets who don’t need overnight care. Like our overnight option, walks and visits are tailored to your pet’s needs. If you have an energetic dog who likes long walks around the community, we are happy to oblige. Or we can just take them out to “do their business” and then stick around for pets, tummy rubs or some play time afterwards. And, of course, we care for your cats and kittens with the same loving attention to their usual routine. We are always flexible, and our visits are never rushed.
